How to do well in PSLE Chinese Language paper 2 Section A?

3 steps to full marks in PSLE Chinese Paper 2 Section A 50/50

Afterall its just 25 MCQ questions right?

This section is the easiest one to score high 50/50 but it requires a lot of study and study requires tactics.

Step 1. You need to get the primary 5 and 6 new edition Chinese textbook, and study the words in the chapters.
Specially for you, I got the word list now: https://bit.ly/Newwordlist

Step 2, Study tactics one: Do only a few words everyday and by 3 months you studied 700 words.

Step 3, study tactics 2: revise 1 or 2 words everyday and you revised 200 words in 3 months.

Note: the word list for Primary 6 is different from 2019 textbook list however the total number of words needed for PSLE Chinese Language is the same with some different. So you need a new word list for the new Primary 6 Chinese Language textbook.

How to score Higher in PSLE Chinese and more in 2020

The Key to high score in PSLE is very simple, high score in every subject! The T-score is average weighted so if one subject is 10 marks less, your t-score will go down by as much as 7-8 points. (the above is an estimation, all results are hypothetical.)

Step 1: Know your current situation.
filling in the follow form

What school and/or (cut off point) t-score do you want? (Give me a number!) ____________/_________________

T-Score I desire: __________(a)

reference points
  1. <=120 : Normal Technical course -----> ITE-----> NITEC cert
  2. 120-180 : Normal (academy) ---->ITE/Poly ----> NITEC cert/Diploma/advanced Dipolma
  3. 180-240 : Express ------> JC/Poly -----> University
  4. 240-   : IP/Express ------> JC/Poly -----> University
  5. >260: ivy league colleges ---> NUS/NTU
Step 2 Know your score
Subject tscore needed is tscore for school*1/3.
(This is a rough guess of actual t-score which will go through complex computation.)

English/Chinese/Math/Sci average score:  __________[(b)=(a)/3]

Eg, if you want 240 then each subject need 240/3=80 points.

Step 3 Know your results
List down your P5 SA2 results.
Eg, EL:80, CL:70, Math:70, Science:50

(all results according to SA2 or overall results, based on 100%)
English : __________
MT       : __________
Math     : __________
Science : __________
*Note, all results are based on 100%.

Step 4 Know your journey
Compare P5 SA2 to Subject t-score needed to for desired T-score.
                  P5 SA2(c)        Desired Tscore(b)        Gap (c)-(b)[see below]
English : __________         __________            __________
MT       : __________          __________            __________
Math     : __________          __________            __________
Science : __________          __________            __________

Step 5 Plan your journey
Determine the gap between desired results and current Prelim marks.
Then plan a timetable to study each subject equally for 1 hour everyday. That will take 4 hours a day to study.

Step 6 Plan a grand plan
Plan a 6 months study program for each subject with study+revision etc
take a test every end of month to test understanding
(If you did not have a test, just go https://www.testpapersfree.com/2019/ and take all the 4 tests in each subject in strict time limit and convert that score to 100%)
Eg
 MonthElCL Math  Science tscore
 May
 June

 Jul
 August
 September

Step 7
Use Prelim results to check progress for your PSLE results.
Good luck in your journey.
