This time of the year when the PSLE result is out, Parents and children are looking for a Good Secondary school to enrol so that their child is given the best in education.
In MOE Singapore, there is a portal to hel;p parents and children on this and you get to have updated school information also.
It is the Advanced Search for school page.

First, Prepare your PSLE result and CCA result on the table in front of you.
Next, determine what sort of school are you looking for.
1) Niche area: do you have a special skill that are looked out for by the school.
2) Higher Mother tongue: you have 1 to 3 marks advantage if you used the HMT to enrol in a SEP school.
3) Special Programmes: IP, DSA Bilingual or Bicultural programme are available in some school only.
4) Talent: special language, music, arts elective and techical partership are available in some school too.
5) result: if your result does not meet the prespective schools' cut off points, please get help for item 1 to 4, for a better chance.
Next, Choose:
1) tick "Level of Education" and "Secondary"
2) Choose "School Zone" and choose your school zone north, east, south or west.
3) Chose Special Programmes Offered (if you have talent in that area.)
4) Chose School Achievements and select "academic" for both level 1 and 2 awards.
This is to ensure the school you choose has academic execellence.
5) tick PSLE Aggregate (Only applicable for Secondary Schools) and tick Course and PSLE Aggregate. Select the course and write down your PSLE marks repectively.
6) Press Submit
7) Rank the Schools by number of special awards, then level 2 awards then level 1 awards, like the country ranking in Olympics Games.
8) Choose the school and is within your PSLE result and consider the location, convenience of travel too.
9) maybe some want to choose non academic issues like color and style of school uniform, school rules, principal or teachers etc
10) Done, just proceed to
